Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Volunteer Social Media Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our organisation’s social media presence across various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. You will work closely with our founder to develop and execute social media strategies that align with our organisation’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive engagement and grow our online community.
- Create and curate compelling content for social media posts, including graphics, videos, and written copy.
- Schedule and publish regular posts across all social media channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
- Monitor social media trends, track metrics, and analyse data to optimize performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster meaningful interactions with our audience.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) is a plus.
- Previous experience in social media marketing or digital communications is preferred but not required.
