Tech is not just found in the comfort of your own home. Tech is everywhere you go and a large sum of it is not even recognised because there is so much of it that it would overwhelm us. It is shaping and building our world as we know it. This is just the beginning as technology is innovating and adapting to make our world more efficient, eco-friendly and safe.
In this blog you will be taken you on a journey from your screen to discuss: How is tech currently being used in the real world? How has tech evolved over time? How can tech improve in the future?
One of the biggest uses of technology outside is travelling. No longer do people have to hold huge maps trying to find out where they are (with the chance of the wind blowing the map away). Now we have various different apps with maps and GPS (Global Positioning System) tracking our phones so we always know where we are. On top of that we have compass apps that help us navigate with ease.
If that was not enough we have planes that can carry multiple people and take them to a different country, trains to take lots of people to places far away, buses to take us if we do not want to walk and finally we have cars, that are constantly evolving, to take us anywhere we want in a reasonable distance. Our buses and trains have screens that tell you what time they are arriving and where they are going. This technology is taken for granted and no one ever notices the genius thinking behind all of this.
How does technology entertain us outside?
Let me ask you a question. How many people did you see wearing headphones or earphones, last time you went out? You probably won’t know the exact amount, but I assume it was a lot. Earphones/headphones give us the ability to listen to endless music, podcasts, or audiobooks.
Here is a list of activities outside your house that require technology:
- The Cinema
- Festivals
- Concerts
- Theme parks
- nightclubs
How has outside tech evolved over time?
With technology constantly evolving at a rapid pace, who knows what heights it could get to? Could we be seeing robots making our food and taking our jobs? Only time will tell what the future has for technology.
For example the cars that we know today are unrecognisable, in comparison to their invention in 1886. Electric cars are starting to take over the motor industry, in an attempt to travel in a more eco-friendly way. When cars were first invented they didn’t take into account the speed, shape, aesthetic, or additional features of the vehicle. But in the present day, we can get cars in all sorts of different colours, with as many additional features as you can think of, and even self driving cars!
Where will tech take us?
As technology continues to move onwards and upwards, its effect on the real world will only increase. From self-driving public transportation and eco-friendly travel solutions to more advanced outdoor entertainment, the possibilities are limitless. As we learn and discover more, our main priority should be maintaining a balance of innovating while still being sustainable. As well as, making sure technology can better our experience without damaging the environment and increasing pollution. The future of technology is looking bright. Where do you think it wil take us next?
